March 25 celebrated with ceremonies nationwide

March 25, the day Greece celebrates its independence, was marked by various ceremonies across the country.
The celebrations began with religious services. Wreaths were laid at monuments by political representatives, civil society organizations, and security and military officials.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, ceremonies were held in Komotini and Xanthi. In the morning, wreath-laying ceremonies took place, with political figures and institutions placing wreaths at the monuments. Ali Tosun, the Deputy Consul of Turkey in Komotini, also attended the ceremony in Komotini.
In Komotini, the parade began with civil society organizations, followed by elementary, middle, and high school students. Afterward, military units marched through the ceremonial area. Minority elementary schools, the Celal Bayar Minority Middle School-High School of Komotini, and Hayriye Madrasa students also participated in the official parade.
The government was represented at the ceremony by Deputy Minister of Education Nikolaos Papaioannu.
In Xanthi, a similar official parade was held, where schools, military units, and associations took part. Xanthi Central Turkish Minority Elementary School, as well as Xanthi Minority Middle School and High School, were also part of the parade.
