25 March National Independence Day celebrated with ceremonies in Greece
Today, 25 March National Independence Day was celebrated in Greece. The celebrations started with religious services organised in churches across the country in the morning.
After the services in the churches, people went to the monuments in the cities and district centres. Wreaths were laid at the monuments by MPs, state and provincial leaders, provincial representatives, mayors, police, asketi, educational and religious representatives and representatives of non-governmental organisations.
Afterwards, a minute of silence was observed and then the Greek National Anthem was sung.
