FEP Party commemorates Pavlos Fyssas 13 years after his murder
The Friendship Equality Peace (FEP) Party has issued a message marking the 13th anniversary of the killing of Greek rapper Pavlos Fyssas, who was murdered in 2013 in an attack linked to the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn organization.
In a video message published in both Turkish and Greek on September 18, the FEP Party commemorated Fyssas and said it continued to oppose fascism and hate.
“Today, September 18, 2026, we respectfully commemorate Pavlos Fyssas, who was murdered by the criminal organization Golden Dawn, on the anniversary of his death, and salute his honorable struggle against fascism,” the party said.
The DEB Party also connected its message to what it described as hate speech, insults and threats directed at members of the Turkish minority over their expression of Turkish identity.
The party stated that such threats would not deter its members from continuing their struggle, invoking words attributed to Fyssas: “Those who threaten me with chains of fire should know this: I will not be afraid.”
“We repeat with the same courage: No threat and no hate speech will silence our struggle,” the party said.
Fyssas, a Greek hip-hop artist known by his stage name Killah P, was fatally stabbed in the Athens-area neighborhood of Keratsini on September 18, 2013. His killing became a major case in Greece’s subsequent legal proceedings against Golden Dawn and its members.
The FEP Party’s statement was published on the 13th anniversary of Fyssas’s death and addressed both the memory of the killing and the party’s concerns over what it described as threats and hate speech targeting the Turkish minority.
