Greece is experiencing a de-escalation in flu activity, with Covid-19 indicators at very low levels.
According to the latest epidemiological report from the National Public Health Organization, EODY, visits to doctors for respiratory symptoms decreased last week, with flu-like cases dropping from 14% to 11%.
Flu remains a significant cause of illness, affecting a third of respiratory patients. Last week, eight serious flu cases required ICU treatment, alongside five new deaths, marking a reduction from earlier in February. Since October, Greece has reported 126 flu-related ICU admissions and 36 deaths. Meanwhile, Covid-19 cases have notably declined, with new hospitalizations down 55% compared to recent weeks.
