Explosion reported outside ND MP's home in Thessaloniki

An explosion occurred at the entrance of the home of Stratos Simopoulos, a Member of Parliament from the New Democracy Party (ND), in Thessaloniki, according to reports from AMNA.
Unidentified individuals reportedly placed an improvised explosive device, made from a camping gas canister, outside the residential building where Simopoulos lives.
There were no casualties or injuries reported, but the explosion caused minor damage to the building's entrance.
Speaking to ERT television, Simopoulos stated that he initially thought the loud noise was due to a malfunctioning gas tank. However, anti-terrorism units later informed him that the explosion was indeed caused by gas canisters used in the device.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
