2023 election results: how votes to be transmitted
The results of the 2023 national elections to be held on 21 May are expected to be announced in record time, as it has already been announced that 20,000 tablets in all polling stations of the region will be thrown into the "battle" on Sunday evening.
The government staff, for the first time, is looking forward to an express election night with no late night, in terms of waiting time for the announcement of the parties' percentages and the "crosses" that the parliamentary candidates will receive.
All portable devices - reportedly - will be equipped with the Secure Result Transmission System (SRT), so that the recording of valid and crosses will go directly to the Ministry of Interior.
According to the plan, the election night will be completed at 21:00, since there will be the possibility of transmitting results for 80% of the territory, as announced a few days ago by the Minister of Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis. The simulation that has been carried out shows that a little earlier, at 20:00 in the evening, the result will be transmitted for about 25%+ of the territory.
Polls will open at 7am on Sunday morning and close at 7pm. The officials of the Ministry of Interior, estimate that by midnight, the picture of the cross-over, i.e. the first places and the ranking order of the parliamentary candidates, will also be reflected.
