'Take Your Child and Come to Morning Prayer' program continued in Sirkeli
The "Take Your Child and Come to the Morning Prayer" program, initiated by the Komotini Mufti's Office, continued on Sunday, November 26, in Büyük Sirkeli village of Kozlukebir Municipality.
Citizens ;from all villages and children showed great interest in the program.
After the Morning Prayer performed in the Büyük Sirkeli village mosque, Komotini Mufti İbrahim Şerif made a speech.
Mufti Şerif stated that as the Mufti Office of Komotini, the number of students attending Quran courses in 2007 was over 3 thousand, and today this number dropped below 2 thousand due to migration in the region. He then explained how they put the information taught in these courses into practice.
In his speech, Mufti İbrahim Şerif said, “Let us teach our religion, our language and our race to our children, so that our children can survive with their own identities and cultures wherever they go. Children are the trust of their mothers and fathers. It is the duty of families to raise them. It is the duty of the mother and father to teach them to serve Allah." he said.
Komotini Mufti and Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board İbrahim Şerif, Deputy Attaché Güven Bora from Türkiye's Consulate General in Komotini, Komotini Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet, newly elected Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin, compatriots from surrounding villages and many children attended the program in Sirkeli village.
