Statement from BİHLİMDER about January 29th events
Western Thrace Imam Hatip Alumni and Members Association (BİHLİMDER) made a statement about the 29 January “National Resistance and Social Solidarity Day”, which symbolizes the struggle of Western Thrace Turks to seek their rights.
The association management stated the following in its statement:
"29 January National Resistance and Solidarity Day” has taken its place in our memory as a distinguished symbol of the will and initiative of being a society.
This justified resistance must continue to remain as the transmission of a stance, a consciousness, in the generations to come, and must be engraved in our hearts and kept alive again and again, as an attitude with all the sides that have endured all the costs, rather than being a simple calendar with its freshness.
For this reason, we celebrate January 29, the “Day of Resistance and Solidarity of Western Thrace Turks."
