BİHLİMDER iftar gathering strengthens community ties
The event took place at the association’s cultural center and provided an opportunity for members and young students to come together and share the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan.
Among the attendees were Deputy Consuls Ali Tosun and Umut Yamık, representing the Consulate General of Türkiye in Komotini. The event was also attended by Fehim Ahmet and the president of the association, Mehmet Emin Ahmet.
Participants broke their fast together following the evening call to prayer. The prayer before the meal was led by Nusrettin Öztürk, a cleric affiliated with the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye.
During the program, BİHLİMDER President Mehmet Emin Ahmet delivered an opening speech, thanking members and guests for attending and extending his Ramadan greetings.
Deputy Consul Ali Tosun also addressed the gathering on behalf of Aykut Ünal, who was unable to attend due to scheduling commitments. Tosun conveyed the consul general’s greetings and thanked the organizers for hosting the event.
The final remarks were delivered by Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet, who congratulated the community on the holy month of Ramadan and expressed appreciation to the association for organizing the gathering.
The program concluded with informal conversations among participants before guests departed from the BİHLİMDER Cultural Center.
