Staikouras announces the madrasah and music school projects, forgets the Minority High School again!
Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staiukras held talks in Alexandroupoli and Komotini on Wednesday 29 May. In a press conference held in Komotini together with the President of the Province Christodoulos Topsidis, Staikuras gave information about the projects in the province.
NEW MUSIC SCHOOL PROJECT AND NEW MADRASAH BUILDING, NO BUILDING PROJECT FOR THE MINORITY HIGH SCHOOL OF ISKEÇE
Staikouras announced that a total of 34 projects will be realised in the province. Among these projects, the allocation of 500 thousand Euros for the new building of Xanthi Madrasah and 223 thousand Euros for the music school planned to be built in Bulustra municipality drew attention. Staikuras did not make any statement regarding the Xanthi Minority Secondary and High School, which has been waiting for a solution to the building problem for a long time.
Some of the projects announced by Staikuras are as follows:
MERIC
Modernisation of the port of Alexandroupoli,
Modernisation of the Greece - Türkiye motorway,
Construction of the Derbent dam,
Modernisation of Alexandroupoli airport.
RODOP
Carrying out preliminary studies for the Yassıköy dam,
Restoration of the old justice building in Komotini,
Completion of Yassıhöyük dam.
XANTHI
Construction of the motorway connecting Xanthi to Bulgaria,
Construction of a new building for the Madrasah of Xanthi,
Carrying out project studies for the construction of a music school in Bulustra (Avdira) Municipality,
Implementation of projects for energy saving in Xanthi State Hospital.
