A 45-year-old soldier, who worked as a service officer in the barracks in Kayalar (Petrohori) village of Xanthi, committed suicide.

A 45-year-old soldier, who was serving as a duty officer in Petrochori, Xanthi, committed suicide this morning in the Kayalar barracks of Xanthi.
According to the news, it was announced that the officer in charge M.A. committed suicide with his gun, was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident and was diagnosed with death there.
A preliminary investigation is being conducted by Xanthi's military unit and police department.
