MP Özgür Ferhat informs for electricity bills
Rodopi New Left MP Özgür Ferhat investigated the different billing practices to be put into effect by the Electricity Authority. Deputy Ferhat shared his research on the bills divided into blue, green, yellow and orange groups on his social media account.
Here is Özgür Ferhat's post:
The issue of which colour, i.e. which payment package we will choose in ELECTRICITY BILLS causes great confusion.
WE SAT AND RESEARCHED FOR YOU
BLUE BILL:
Fixed but with the highest price, not affected by the energy exchange.
It has a 12-month contract period, users who leave earlier will be penalised with a certain amount of money.
The most favourable invoice for our elderly people
Optimal invoice for families with high consumption (normal consumption 1600kWh in 4 months)
Price remains fixed for meters exceeding 500kWh per month (0.179/kWh)
Again, the ideal invoice for meters that benefit from the night discount.
It is a little more expensive than other colour bills because it is fixed, but it is not affected by the ups and downs of the stock market in electrical energy.
GREEN BILL:
It is referred to as a simple variable invoice.
Based on the wholesale electricity purchase and sales price of the previous month, the invoice price value will be announced on the first of each month.
The trick is the amount of electricity we used in 4 months in the winter period of last year.
If we do not exceed 500 kWh per month, it seems to be the ideal invoice selection.
There is no early departure penalty in this package programme.
All electrical energy vendors will calculate the price in the same way, companies will not calculate the price according to the profit rate.
YELLOW BILL:
Again, an invoice type that will have a price change every month.
The price will be shaped according to the wholesale purchase and sale price of the previous month.
Seller companies will be able to shape the price according to their own profit rate and have the ability to lower or raise it.
In case of leaving the programme, no money will be paid as a penalty.
ORANGE BILL
Dynamic electricity bill
It has a floating price and its price will be shaped according to the ups and downs of the energy exchange during the day.
In order to be included in this invoice, we must have a <> electricity meter.
NOTES
Note: The fee for each invoice is a fixed 5 euros.
In order to learn how the system works, it seems that the most appropriate choice will be to choose the green invoice first and shape our preference according to the price list that will be shaped in January.
Until 1 January, consumers who do not declare a preference automatically start with the GREEN BILL.
They can then choose a category.
