MP Ferhat enrolls his son in Yassıköy Minority Primary School, calls on parents to support Minority Schools

Rodopi MP Özgür Ferhat, from the New Left Party, has enrolled his son Kuzey in Yassıköy Minority Primary School and urged all parents to support Turkish Minority Schools by enrolling their children in these institutions.
Following the enrollment, Ferhat took a commemorative photo in front of the school with his son and shared it on social media, delivering a heartfelt message to parents. In his post, he stated:
"Like every parent, my wife and I share the same concerns, thoughts, and emotions about our children's future. Acting with awareness of our individual and collective responsibilities, we have enrolled our son Kuzey in Yassıköy Minority Primary School, the very school I graduated from in the 1990s. Supporting our schools means supporting our community, our children, and our future. With this understanding, I wish the best for my son and all children taking their first steps in primary education!"
Ferhat emphasized the critical role of Turkish Minority Schools in preserving cultural heritage and societal values. He stressed that supporting these schools is not only an educational choice but also a significant step toward securing the community's future.
In a bilingual message, Ferhat reiterated his call in Greek, addressing the broader community about the importance of keeping minority schools alive as a means of safeguarding the future of both the children and society.
His message has sparked discussions among parents and educators, reinforcing the ongoing dialogue about the role and significance of minority schools in Western Thrace.
