The Gümülcine (Komotini) Mufti’s Office has published a message welcoming the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.
The message, signed by Gümülcine Mufti İbrahim Şerif, extended wishes for success to students, teachers and parents as the new school year begins.
The Mufti’s Office also announced that Quran courses affiliated with the Gümülcine Mufti’s Office would begin their educational programmes on Monday, September 14.
The message comes as schools and educational institutions across the region begin the new academic year, with the Mufti’s Office highlighting the start of religious education alongside the broader school year.
