Komotini Municipality wins silver medal for "Komotini App"

The app was recognized for its innovative approach and its contribution to improving the daily lives of both local residents and visitors to the city.
Theodoros Bacakas, the founder and designer of the application, accepted the award and expressed his commitment to continually improving the app alongside the municipality, based on user needs and new technologies.
Komotini Mayor Yannis Garanis emphasized the importance of embracing digital advancements, stating: “It is crucial not only to recognize but also to reward choices that meet the demands of the digital age. The silver award at the PPC BITE Awards 2024 is proof of our efforts to use technological tools to enhance communication between citizens and the services of the Komotini Municipality. As daily life demonstrates, we have provided a valuable tool that is easily accessible and incredibly simple to use.”
