Komotini Municipality participates in "PHILOXENIA 2024" Tourism Fair
Komotini Municipality took part in the 39th International Tourism Fair, "PHILOXENIA 2024," held at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition and Congress Center from November 14-16.
The municipality was represented at the Eastern Macedonia-Thrace Region's 15th booth by Deputy Mayor for Tourism Giorgos Lazaridis, in collaboration with Regional Deputy Governor for Tourism Panagiotis Arhontis.
Promoting Komotini's Attractions
During the fair, Deputy Mayor Lazaridis engaged in productive discussions with tourism professionals, particularly from neighboring countries like Bulgaria. The team showcased Komotini's attractions, including accommodation options, gastronomy, history, and culture, while answering visitors' questions.
Christmas World Highlights
Lazaridis expressed enthusiasm about presenting Komotini’s offerings:
"At PHILOXENIA 2024, we had the opportunity to introduce Komotini’s charm to visitors, especially those from the Balkans, and reignite the interest of Greek tourists. We also promoted the upcoming 'Christmas World' theme park, which will take place in Agia Paraskevi Park from December 7, 2024, to January 6, 2025, inviting everyone to experience Komotini's hospitality and holiday magic."
Supporting Local Products
Komotini Municipality thanked Thrace Distillery-Winery A.Ş., Yiannis Kekkeris Coffee Roasting House, and Stamatis Karakioulakis Nuts for showcasing local products and drawing visitors to the booth, significantly contributing to the event's success.
