İskeçe launches smart parking pilot on Monday: Everything you need to know
The Municipality of İskeçe is set to launch the pilot phase of its new Smart Controlled Parking System on Monday, July 28, 2025. This digital innovation aims to significantly improve parking efficiency and user convenience in the city center.
During the pilot, users can activate parking time via the free ParkALot app, available on App Store and Google Play, or through designated physical points of sale throughout the city. The system offers modern, user-friendly features such as wallet payments and “scan & pay” functionality directly from smartphones.
The pilot phase is informational and transitional, allowing citizens to get familiar with the system. Drivers will simulate parking by paying a virtual zero fee, and any parking violations will result in virtual zero fines. This approach allows both for the identification of any technical improvements needed and for the gradual user adaptation to the system.
After the pilot phase ends, full implementation will follow, incorporating data insights and public feedback.
The Municipality urges all residents to actively participate, explore the digital tools, and contribute to building a more efficient, smart, and user-friendly Xanthi.
