Heated Community Center in İskeçe open until 9 p.m. due to cold weather

The Municipality of İskeçe announced extended operating hours for its heated Community Care Center (KAPI) in response to extremely low temperatures affecting the region.
According to the official statement, the KAPI facility located at the intersection of Voulgaroktonou and Kapnergaton streets will remain open today, Monday, January 19, 2026, until 9:00 p.m. The measure aims to provide a warm and safe indoor space for residents, particularly vulnerable groups, during the ongoing cold spell.
Local authorities urge citizens in need of shelter from the cold to make use of the facility and remain attentive to weather-related safety guidelines as low temperatures persist across northern Greece.
