“Hope for Women Life for Society” project completed with Istanbul Culture Trip
The "Hope for Women, Life for Society" project, jointly organized by the Association of Western Thrace Minority Graduates and the Mufti Office of Xanthi, was completed with the Istanbul Culture Trip held on May 2-6.
Women from Xanthi, who came together with different subjects and guests for 10 weeks within the framework of the project, came together with Educator-Writer Dilek Cesur and Theologian-Writer Ahmet Bulut, the author of the book “Patience families raise compassionate children”, which they read within the framework of the project.
60 women participating in the project from the villages of Koyunköy (Kimmeria), Pasevik (Pahni) and Elmalı (Melivia) in Xanthi were hosted at the education center of the Dervişoğlu Foundation in Istanbul, headed by theologian-Author Ahmet Bulut.
On the second day of the program, the women from Xanthi, who had the opportunity to visit the historical and cultural places of Istanbul accompanied by the guide Hasan Usta, assigned by the Mayor of Zeytinburnu Ömer Arısoy, completed the day with a Bosphorus tour.
The women, who also had the opportunity to shop in Istanbul on the last day of the program, left Istanbul on the night of Friday, May 5th.
“Hope for Women, Life for Society” project managers Gülcan Mümin and Sevcan Hacıali, and Xanthi Mufti Office Family Services branch manager Hülya Giritli thanked Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa and BTAYTD President Hüseyin Baltacı for their support throughout the project.
On the other hand, they thanked Hasan Hamaç, the owner of the travel agency Chamats Travel, who provided all kinds of convenience to them during the Istanbul Culture Trip.
