Hatim events continue in Xanthi
Hatim events organised by the Qur'an courses affiliated to the Mufti's Office of Xanthi continue. On Sunday 12 May, a hatim ceremony was held for the students of Fatih Kocaahmet and Emine İmam, who work in the Qur'an course of Karşımahalle Mosque.
Due to the fact that Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, was in Istanbul for a working visit, the hatim event took place under the direction of Ahmet Hraloğlu, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi. The event in Karsimahalle Mosque of Xanthi was attended by Xanthi MPs Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, Vice-President of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace İrfan Hacıgene and State Assembly Member Fatih İsmailko, President of Xanthi Turkish Union Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Deputy President of FEP Party Bahri Belço, Former Deputy Governor and MEP candidate Musa Vidinli and other MEP candidates of FEP Party and invited guests.
In his welcoming speech, Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu congratulated the students, their families, teachers and all those who contributed to the organisation of the event. Hraloğlu also congratulated all mothers on "Mother's Day". Afterwards, Musa Vidinli, one of the candidates of FEP Party, Ozan Ahmetoğlu, President of Xanthi Turkish Union, İrfan Hacıgene, Vice President of the State, Hüseyin Zeybek, MP and Burhan Baran, MP made speeches respectively.
After the noon prayer, traditional meat pilaf and buttermilk were served to the guests.
On the other hand, in the hatim event organised by the adult women students trained by Fatma Burbun, who works at the Gazhane Mosque in Xanthi, the trainees recited the Holy Qur'an, poems and hymns. The event was attended by Fatma İmam, Deputy Mufti of Xanthi, Münevver Ago, wife of Ozan Ahmetoğlu, President of Xanthi Turkish Union and other guests. At the end of the event the guests were served pilaf with meat and ayran.
