Fishing ban starts

The Regional Directorate of Eastern Macedonia Thrace (EMT) announced a hunting ban in inland waters in order to protect the reproduction of fish and other aquatic organisms.
In accordance with the decision taken by the Directorate of Agricultural Economy of the EMT Region and the Deputy Governors of the Region on this issue, it is reported that in order to protect the reproduction of fish and other living organisms, it is forbidden to hunt with all kinds of vehicles in inland waters.
According to the relevant decision, the hunting ban started on 15 April 2024 and will end on 30 May 2024.
It was noted that the decision was aimed at protecting the reproduction of fish populations and other aquatic organisms living in inland waters.
