The fire that broke out between Kucuk Sungurlu and Bayatli villages of Rhodope province caused fear.
While the fire that broke out in the fields between the two settlements at noon caused panic, the very hot weather and the abundance of dry grass in the field where the fire started increased the risk of the danger spreading to a large area in a short time.
It is learned that the eyewitnesses who noticed the fire immediately called the Komotini Fire Brigade Directorate and asked for help. Firefighters arrived at the scene in a short time with vehicles and immediately started to intervene. The firefighters, who carried out intensive extinguishing works on the ground, were supported by three fire extinguishing aircraft from the air. As a result of the intervention, the fire was brought under control and extinguished.
