Early-morning fire sparks fear in Alankuyu
A fire that broke out in the early hours of Friday morning caused moments of fear among residents of the Alankuyu neighborhood in Gümülcine.
According to available information, the fire started for as yet undetermined reasons at a house occupied by a family. As the flames spread rapidly, the incident was reported to the Gümülcine Fire Department.
Following the alert, a firefighting team of around 10 personnel was quickly dispatched to the scene with three vehicles. After approximately half an hour of intensive efforts, the fire was brought under control.
The house was completely destroyed by the fire; however, no injuries or loss of life were reported. The fact that all family members escaped unharmed came as a great relief to residents and authorities alike.
