FEP Party responds strongly to statement by Panhellenic Pomak Association
The Friendship, Equality, Peace (FEP) Party has issued a sharp response to the Panhellenic Pomak Association’s statement dated 27 November 2025 regarding the FUEN Education Working Group meeting held in Western Thrace.
In its announcement, DEB argued that the association’s text does not resemble the position of a civil society organization, but instead “repeats official state narratives.”
The party rejected the association’s references to “interference” and an “unfavorable atmosphere,” stating that these claims do not reflect reality. FEP said the accusations stem from “allergic reactions and intolerance toward the Western Thrace Turkish Minority’s self-identification and the use of the word ‘Turk.’”
Call to Release the Full Recordings
FEP described the association’s allegations as an attempt to manipulate public perception with unfounded claims. The party noted that individuals who attended the meeting under the title of “association representatives” were, in fact, public officials, and that they openly recorded the meeting on their mobile phones in front of all participants.
FEP issued the following challenge:
“If they trust their claims, let them release the recordings unedited, exactly as they were taken. Let them publish them so the public can clearly see who is pursuing provocation and who is stating the truth.”
The statement continued with a pointed message:
“Those who fear the truth avoid evidence. We are here.”
FEP concluded its announcement with:
“Respectfully submitted to the public.”
