Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region continues tourism promotion efforts

The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace was represented at the "Impact of Climate Change on Tourism" panel, held on February 19 in Athens as part of the CLIMPACT symposium.
The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace was represented at the "Impact of Climate Change on Tourism" panel, held on February 19 in Athens as part of the CLIMPACT symposium.
The region was represented by Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism, Panagiotis Archontis. Also attending the symposium was Yannis Markianos, Deputy Mayor for Tourism of Thassos Island, a key tourism destination.
In his statement, Archontis emphasized the region's commitment to sustainable tourism, saying, "The region is evolving by actively participating in significant initiatives for the strategic planning of sustainable tourism destinations and products."
The tourism promotion program will continue with participation in tourism fairs in Serbia and Romania.
