Earthquake of 4.1 magnitude felt in Xanthi on Sunday morning

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck the region of Halkidiki on Sunday morning, according to the Athens Geodynamic Institute.
The tremor occurred at 11:47 AM, with the epicenter located 10 kilometers east-southeast of Ouranoupoli, at a depth of 12.4 kilometers.
Following the initial tremor, a series of weaker aftershocks were recorded in the area, ranging from 2.6 to 3.2 on the Richter scale, with the same focal depth. The earthquake was also felt in the nearby city of Xanthi.
Authorities are monitoring the situation, but no significant damage has been reported.
