Deputy Foreign Minister Bozay calls on UN Human Rights Council to Address issues of the Turkish Minority

Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and EU Affairs Director, Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, addressed the 58th session of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council in a virtual speech.
In his remarks, Bozay highlighted the challenges faced by the Turkish minority in Western Thrace and Turkish-origin Greek citizens living in the Dodecanese Islands.
He emphasized that the fundamental rights and freedoms of these communities are being seriously violated and called on the UN Human Rights Council to take action, urging Greece to respect their ethnic identity and rights in accordance with international obligations.
Bozay reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to international law, human rights, and dignity for all, stating:
"Türkiye will continue to defend peace and justice with a strong commitment to international law and human rights."
