Consul General Ünal and Trade Attaché İren visit the Thrace Businessmen’s Association
Türkiye’s Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, together with Dr. Gülcan İren, Trade Attaché of the Turkish Consulate General in Thessaloniki, paid a visit today (Thursday, 18 December) to the Thrace Businessmen’s Association (TİAD).
During the visit, Ünal and İren met with TİAD President Mehmet Molla Ahmet and members of the association’s board of directors. The meeting included an exchange of views on recent developments affecting the regional business community, as well as discussions on potential avenues for economic cooperation.
In a statement shared on its official social media account, the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Gümülcine said:
“Together with the Trade Attaché of our Consulate General in Selanik, Gülcan İren, we met with our compatriots who are members of the Thrace Businessmen’s Association.”
The Thrace Businessmen’s Association also released a statement on social media, noting:
“The Trade Attaché of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Thessaloniki, Dr. Gülcan İren, and the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Gümülcine, Mr. Aykut Ünal, paid a visit to our association on 18 December 2025.”
