Following concerns raised by citizens, the administration of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT) Region inspected the construction site and received assurances from the contractor that identified deficiencies would be addressed.

In a statement, EMT Deputy Regional Governor Rıdvan Molla İsa and Regional Governor’s Advisor Ahmet Osman Pehlivan said that residents’ feedback and complaints were taken seriously.

The officials visited the site on the same day together with technical teams and carried out inspections. According to the statement, several shortcomings were identified during the evaluation of the ongoing works.

Following the inspection, meetings were held with the contractor, and company representatives provided assurances that the road project would be completed in full compliance with technical specifications and required procedures.

Regional officials later conducted another inspection together with contractor representatives, emphasizing that monitoring of the project would continue until the works reach the required standards.

The EMT Region stated that providing citizens with safe and high-quality transportation services remains a priority and that authorities will continue to follow the process until all deficiencies in the road construction are resolved.
