Car accident in Komotini with a 21-year-old police cadet victim
The Rhodope Police and the wider society were plunged into deep sorrow, as a three-year police cadet lost his life on the asphalt on Saturday night. The unfortunate young man, just 21 years old, was completing his training at the Komotini Police Station.
According to the Police Bulletin the accident occurred on the National Road Komotini - Xanthi, when the two-wheeled motorcycle driven by a 21-year-old man and in which another 21-year-old man was on board deviated from its course and overturned within the road, resulting in the fatal injury of the passenger and the injury of the driver. Both young men were taken to the hospital in Komotini.
Preliminary investigation into the causes and circumstances of the accident is carried out by the Department of Traffic Police Komotini.
