Ayçıl Paşaoğlu from Komotini participates in "19 May Youth Gathering"
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with youth representatives and national athletes at the "19 May Youth Meeting" held at Vahdettin Mansion on the occasion of 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
Ayçıl Paşaoğlu, a 4th year student of Ankara Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, who attended the meeting from Western Thrace, stated that she was honoured to be together with very valuable people.
Paşaoğlu, who said that he is currently working as a chief general surgery intern, said: "I come from Komotini, Greece, the hometown of my colleague and fellow countryman Dr. Sadık Ahmet, who is the defender of Western Thrace Turks. I am a Western Thrace Turk. I am currently continuing my education here with the opportunities provided by Turkish scholarships. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to you for giving us these opportunities."
