Amateur fisherman drowns in Kalfalar

Port authorities and a medical examiner rushed to the scene.
A morning visit to the sea ended in tragedy for a local resident, who is believed to have drowned next to his boat at Kalfalar beach, in shallow waters approximately 40–50 cm deep near the campsite area.
The Port Authority of Karaağaç (Porto Lagos) was notified at 10 a.m., and officers, along with the medical examiner, immediately arrived at the location. The victim, a retired professional from the city, is thought to have become entangled in fishing nets, with his death attributed to an accidental cause.
