Two Bulgarian nationals lost their lives in separate incidents at beaches in Dedeağaç on Sunday, according to the Hellenic Coast Guard.

The first incident occurred in the morning, when a 73-year-old Bulgarian man was pulled unconscious from the EOT Beach in Dedeağaç. A lifeguard administered first aid before the man was transported by ambulance to the Dedeağaç University General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Later the same day, an 82-year-old Bulgarian national was recovered unconscious from Delfini Beach in Dedeağaç. Lifeguards provided emergency first aid at the scene before he was taken by ambulance to the same hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.

The Central Port Authority of Dedeağaç has launched preliminary investigations into both incidents and has ordered autopsies to be carried out by the Department of Forensic Sciences at the Dedeağaç University General Hospital to determine the exact causes of death.
