2nd Regional Growth Conference “Eastern Macedonia & Thrace” to take place in Gümülcine

Following the success of its inaugural edition, the Regional Growth Conference Eastern Macedonia & Thrace (RGC EMTH) returns for its second year, focusing on dialogue around regional development and the future prospects of the area.

The 2nd RGC EMTH is organized by the newspapers Chronos and Peloponnisos, in collaboration with Democritus University of Thrace, the Observatory of Regional Policies, and the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. The event will be held on October 21–22, 2025 (Tuesday and Wednesday) at the Tsanakleio Megaro in Gümülcine.

According to the organizers, RGC EMTH continues its mission to serve as a reference point for Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, highlighting the region’s challenges, opportunities, and development strategies in key sectors such as economy, energy, investment, innovation, and cross-border cooperation.

Over two days, distinguished speakers, local government officials, entrepreneurs, academics, and experts will gather in Gümülcine to discuss the region’s future at a conference that is becoming an established institution in regional development dialogue.
