Ship carrying humanitarian aid departed from Keratsini Port to Iskenderun

Relief materials collected for earthquake victims in Türkiye departed from Keratsini Port to Iskenderun at noon yesterday.
Six trucks carrying materials such as blankets, tents, sleeping bags, heaters, chemical toilets and medicines will reach the earthquake zone with a Ro-Ro ship.
It was stated that the aid loaded on the ship was classified by the working group consisting of government officials headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis, which was established to organize, collect and send the materials to be delivered to the earthquake area.
In line with the information obtained, medicine aid will be delivered by air to earthquake victims in Syria tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Türkiye's Ambassador to Athens Çağatay Erciyes went to Piraeus Port and attended the convoy's farewell on the way to İskenderun.

“We thank the Greek people for their sincere support to the earthquake victims. Aid materials collected through 332 municipalities are sorted in Athens.
The messages of support on the boxes make us all emotional. The first batch of these aids set off from Athens Piraeus Port to Iskenderun.
Our Ambassador attended the farewell ceremony at the port. He thanked the Greek Government and people.”
