The final report of a parliamentary examining committee on the cellphone tapping of PASOK-KINAL leader Nikos Androulakis was presented to Parliament President Constantine Tassoulas on Thursday.

The final report will be discussed in Parliament plenary on Friday, October 21.

The topic the committee was focused on was defined officially as follows: "The violation of the privacy of PASOK-KINAL President and MEP Nikos Androulakis' communications by the National Intelligence Service and/or other individual or legal entities, the confirmed attempt to tap his cellphone with the Predator malicious software, the illegal use of the latter in Greece, and the investigation for possible liability of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and any other involved individual or legal entity."

The committee was set up following a proposal by PASOK-KINAL and included representatives of all parties in Parliament. It was given a deadline of a month since its approval (Aug. 29) to provide a report, with the option of an extension if necessary.

Some parties represented on the committee have tabled individual reports, and released summaries of them publicly.
