Mitsotakis meet with members of the Greek minority in Albania
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with members of the Greek minority living in southern Albania.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was also accompanied by Mitsotakis, who met with members of the Greek minority in the cities of Himara, Finiq, and Dropull.
Mitsotakis, who first reached Himara by helicopter, was greeted by the Greek minority there with Greek flags and other country symbols. Mitsotakis gave a speech here.
Rama and Mitsotakis later visited Dervican village in Dropull city of Ergiri city. An artistic program was held here.
In his speech here, Mitsotakis said that the Greek minority in the country is a bridge of cooperation between the two neighboring peoples and said, "Albania's integration path will not be easy, it will be fast because Albania deserves to be a part of Europe. You will benefit from this development.”
Rama said that the Greek minority in his country is an indispensable link between the two countries, and that he greets all Albanian citizens of Greek nationality with great gratitude, who contribute not only to their society but also to the country.
Prime Minister Mictakis also visited educational institutions in the region.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias also visited Albania yesterday and met with his counterpart, Olta Xhaçka, in the capital, Tirana.
