The Greek government has moved to quash speculation about an impending cabinet reshuffle, with government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis delivering a firm message to ministers. Responding to media questions, he stated that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has no immediate plans for changes, adding:

“I don’t believe ministers are dropping their pens. They know that doing so would be the worst move in the ongoing evaluation process we all undergo.”

While a reshuffle is expected at some point in the future, the government seeks to prevent ministers from getting distracted by political rumors. The Prime Minister is set to address the issue in an interview with Kathimerini on Sunday, aiming to put the speculation to rest, at least for now.

Although an imminent reshuffle in February seems unlikely, discussions remain open for potential changes after March or even in May.

Additionally, Marinakis dismissed rumors about former minister Andreas Loverdos joining the government, stating:

“This is the first time I’m hearing of this. I know nothing about it and don’t believe such a scenario exists.”
