Kasselakis: Surprise transfer from PASOK for his new party
Stefanos Kasselakis, following his departure from SYRIZA, is preparing to unveil his new political party. The official announcement will take place on Saturday, November 23, while the party's name will be determined through a three-day vote, concluding just before the first round of SYRIZA's leadership elections.
On Monday, during a special event at Zappeion, Kasselakis will present the party's manifesto and name. The event will feature a unique circular stage designed to facilitate interactive communication with attendees.
The PASOK Transfer
Even before the new initiative officially begins, a familiar figure from PASOK has made headlines. Regina Vartzeli, a former close associate of George Papandreou, attended Kasselakis’s recent speech in Argyroupoli, signaling potential support.
Vartzeli reportedly stated, “We serve the same purpose, and I’m happy about it,” hinting at her readiness to align with Kasselakis’s new political venture. It remains to be seen which other politicians from SYRIZA or other parties may back this emerging political movement.
