It was reported that a historical church in the Vrastama region of Halkidiki near the city of Thessaloniki was set on fire and became unusable.

According to the news in the Greek press, it was stated that 1 person was detained for deliberately starting a fire in yesterday's incident.

It was noted that the church, which is approximately 156 years old, became unusable as a result of the fire.

It is reported that the suspect in custody will be brought before a judge.
