Haralambidis, Secretary of the Provincial Organisation of the PASOK Party in Rodopi, resigns
Panagiotis Haralambidis, Secretary of the Rhodope Provincial Organisation of the PASOK-KINAL Party, resigned from his post.
Haralambidis noted that the reason for his resignation was not political and that he resigned for personal reasons, and stated that he would continue to be a member of the party.
Reminding that he will continue to support the work of PASOK leader Nikos Andrulakis, Haralambidis said:
"The PASOK Movement for Change has been growing steadily and steadily stronger in recent years, becoming the only realistic alternative to national governance and the most authentic expression of centre-left and social democracy.
I would like to take this opportunity to announce that I resign from the post of Secretary of the Rhodope Provincial Organisation for purely personal and non-political reasons, while at the same time remaining a member of the Rhodope Provincial Organisation and the PASOK Party. I will continue to support the endeavours of the Party and of our President Nikos Androulakis and to declare that I stand by myself in every endeavour and in every position.
I would like to sincerely thank all the local authorities and PASOK members for the joint struggle, but I would especially like to thank all the members of the Rhodope Provincial Organisation for their support and sincere appreciation, and above all for their honourable, hardworking and selfless cooperation throughout all this time.
In the next few days the Rhodope Provincial Organisation will meet again for the election of the new secretary, who according to the statutes must come from the committee members."
