Greeks don't trust each other
According to a nationwide survey conducted by the public opinion research company Dianeosis, Greeks are experiencing a serious crisis of trust not only in institutions but also in each other.
In response to the question "Whether most people are trustworthy", an overwhelming majority of 86.6 per cent answered "We need to be particularly careful in our dealings with people".
More than 3,300 people over the age of 17 participated in the "What Greeks Think 2024" survey conducted between 15 January and 12 February.
According to Kathimerini, half of the respondents believe that the "biggest threat to the future of Greeks" is the ECONOMY, while 37% said that the demographic problem is the second most important problem.
The rate of those who think that the most important factor for the economic growth of the country is the faster functioning of justice is 32.3%, while the rate of those who think that transparency in the public sector and institutions is the most important factor for economic growth is 27.3%.
83 per cent of the respondents believe that in 2034 Greece "will be a country with a large number of immigrants from many countries".
