An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the island of Crete on Thursday, at 02:08.
An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the island of Crete on Thursday, at 02:08.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 17 kilometers north-northwest of Rethymno and the focal depth was 34 kilometers, according to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens.
The earthquake was felt on most of the northern coast of the island.
So far, there are no reports of any serious damage.
