Bus driver arrested for attempted murder of colleague after argument
A 58-year-old bus driver has been arrested in Athens on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly hitting a colleague with a bus following an argument, police said on Saturday.
According to Kathimerini the incident occurred late Friday at the intersection of Agiou Polykarpou and Amphipoleos streets in the Kolonos district. According to police, the two drivers got into a dispute outside their buses, after which the 46-year-old victim attempted to leave on his motorcycle.
The suspect allegedly entered his bus, chased the colleague, and struck him, causing injuries to his upper and lower limbs. The victim was taken to Nikaia General State Hospital, where he remains under medical care.
The suspect is in custody at the Kolonos police crimes unit and is expected to appear before a prosecutor.
