"BORA" to continue affecting Greece through Monday

The Emergency Weather Bulletin issued on Friday remains in effect, according to the latest forecasts from the Hellenic National Meteorological Service.
Storm BORA, caused by a low-pressure system over the Ionian Sea moving slowly eastward, is bringing severe weather conditions to Greece, including heavy rain, thunderstorms, gale-force winds, and snow in mountainous areas of Western Macedonia, Epirus, and other regions of Northern Greece. Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms:
⦁ Central and Eastern Macedonia, Thrace: Until Monday morning.
⦁ Thessaly: From early Saturday afternoon until Monday morning.
⦁ Ionian Sea (excluding Corfu and Paxos), Epirus, Western Sterea: Intermittently until Saturday evening.
⦁ Western and Southern Peloponnese: Until late Saturday night into Sunday.
⦁ Sporades, Eastern Aegean Islands, Dodecanese: From early Saturday afternoon until Monday morning.
⦁ Eastern Sterea (including Attica) and Evia: From early Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning, with peak activity in Attica overnight.
⦁ Crete and Cyclades: Until early Sunday morning.
Gale-Force Winds:
⦁ Central and Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, Northern Aegean: Northeasterly winds reaching 8-10 Beaufort from Saturday afternoon until late Sunday afternoon.
Heavy Snowfall:
⦁ Western Macedonia and mountainous areas of Central and Eastern Macedonia, as well as Epirus: From Saturday afternoon until late Sunday afternoon.
Residents in affected areas are advised to exercise caution, limit travel, and follow updates from local authorities and the 112 emergency system.
