Attica taxi drivers were pressing ahead with their strike action on Thursday, signaling that the sector will remain on the streets in protest against the provisions of the Ministry of Transport's new bill.

Meanwhile, taxi drivers outside Attica have gone back to work as of Thursday, though the Panhellenic Taxi Federation has announced plans for a coordinated, nationwide rally outside the Parliament next week, specifically on the day the bill is scheduled for its final vote.

According to the Attica Taxi Drivers Union (SATA), "the justified struggle continues today with a protest rally organized for 10:30 a.m. Drivers are scheduled to meet at the junction of Athinon Avenue and Antigonis Street, facing Kifissos Avenue, before launching a motorized procession toward the Athens International Airport."

Attica’s taxi operators remain on strike until Saturday at 6:00 a.m. and have already announced rolling 24-hour strikes next week, coinciding with the bill’s introduction to the Plenary of Parliament for debate and ratification.
