Under the updated system, farmers classified in the small farmer category can apply for a 6% VAT refund on eligible transactions conducted in 2025, including sales of agricultural products and issued invoices.
All applications must be submitted exclusively online, streamlining the process and reducing administrative burden.

Officials highlighted that the system has now entered its third year of operation, pointing to strong participation and growing efficiency.
- In 2025, a total of 120,565 applications were submitted
- More than €35.3 million in VAT refunds was distributed to farmers
The figures underscore the program’s importance in supporting agricultural income and liquidity.
Deadline: December 15, 2026
Authorities stressed that the final deadline for applications is December 15, 2026, urging farmers not to delay submissions in order to avoid missing out on their entitlements.
Experts also advise applicants to ensure that all documentation related to 2025 transactions is properly recorded and submitted within the system.
