A 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred on Wednesday at 05:49 off the southwestern coast of Zakynthos, as announced by the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens on behalf of the four entities forming the Unified National Seismological Network.

The epicenter of the earthquake is located in the sea area 12 kilometers west-southwest of Keri, Zakynthos, and the focal depth is estimated at approximately 18 kilometers.
