Protests continue across Europe in support of Palestine
In Rotterdam, thousands gathered at Schouwburg Square to support Palestine. The demonstration, held to protest Israel's attacks on Gaza and to commemorate Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, assassinated in Tehran, marched to the Rotterdam Court. Speakers criticized the Dutch government's support for Israel, highlighting the ongoing oppression and loss of life in Palestine.
In Stockholm, pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, protesting Israel's attacks on Gaza. Organized by several civil society organizations, the protestors called for an end to the attacks, an immediate ceasefire, and unrestricted humanitarian aid to Gaza.
In London, tens of thousands of people participated in the 17th national march to show solidarity with Palestine. Gathering around Hyde Park, the protestors marched approximately 3 kilometers to Downing Street, home to the Prime Minister's Office. Waving Palestinian flags, they chanted slogans such as "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," "Free Palestine," and "Stop the bombing now." The demonstrators also called on the new government, which took office on July 5, to halt arms sales to Israel.
