Works finally start on Kalfa road where fatal accidents occurre
The newly elected President of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Christodoulos Topsidis, and his administration are solving one of the most important problems in the province of Rhodope, which has been waiting for a solution for a long time, with the works started today in the morning hours.
The State Presidency has started soil clearance works at the Komotini exit of the Bulgarian main road on the Komotini-Kalfa road, where dozens of fatal accidents have occurred so far.
Eastern Macedonia Thrace State President Advisor Rıdvan Molla İsa, State Vice President Rıdvan Hacı Mehmet and State Assembly Member Ahmet Osman Pehlivan, who closely followed the works carried out, informed the public about the works by giving information to Journalist Ramadan Molla, Komotini Officer of MİLLET Newspaper, in the area where the works were carried out.
The works that started today in the morning for the removal of the earth mound that prevents the vehicles exiting Komotini on the Bulgarian road from seeing the Kalfa road will continue tomorrow.
